"For the first time in a lifetime, you feel the rays of the rising sun. Like the warm embrace of a long lost brother."
Was hard to pick what scene to illustrate for this episode, but I went for the one that made me cry the most...

Exu divergence rewatch just for the little faces Liam makes when Matt does something in game that totally plays into the secret narrative.

I am deeply in love with how deeply in love Brennan is with Critical Role. He wrote his buddy a love letter and created a raccoon trap to get him to experience it and I think that's beautiful.

Brennan: As a forever DM, the idea of you getting a chance to play in your world and me letting you be like, "You know what, after years of being the Greek chorus, behind-the-screen NPC guy, I got a shot to be a PC. I think I'll be support." And I went,
"Over my dead body."
Brennan: Over my dead fucking body, my man. No, actually, oh, you wanna be a dwarf? Guess what! You're fucking The Dwarf, my man.
Matt: It's so fucked.

"Exandria is in good hands, ever loved and cherished by all who will come from this day until the final days of creation. May they be far, far removed. Stories abound. Adventures unfold. The watchful gaze of the gods giving light to those who use their stories to find the way."
Happy 10 years Critical Role!
A humble imagining of the gate inspired by the FFXIV archway for the Twelve as the raid series similarly gave me many feelings and emotions.

EXU Calamity episode one where a mother tells her little boy about the promise of rain as if it’s an inconvenience they only have to be subjected to once every few years vs EXU Divergence episode one where an old prisoner tells a little boy about how the promise of rain is the one shred of hope he’s been clinging to for decades

"The mountains and peaks shaped by the loving hands of the All-Hammer. What a world he made…"
Brennan said this story was meant to be a love letter to Matt and it truly feels like it. Here is my little ode to Exandria and its maker.
10 years of Critical Role, 10 years of this story, shaped by many loving hands. What a journey it all is -- and I'm so happy to be a small part of it to this day!
Also Divergence truly destroyed me. The hope, the struggle, the power of the many in the face of evil. The meaning in creation, creativity, and hard work... a a a aa

Just finished rewatching the first episode of EXU: Divergence, and first of all, SO GOOD. Second, before I first saw the episode or knew who/what the characters were, I did see the names of each character and who was playing them. So I saw Erro Mordaurum and I was like, “hmm, ‘au’, ‘aurum’ that means gold, is Liam playing some kind of dwarf?” Well, not a dwarf, but a gold dragonborn, which is even more perfect, and after today’s rewatch I took a look to see if the full name had a Latin meaning.
